SHDC, B.Com. programm provides a strong foundation level understanding of the functioning of business organizations, commercial transactions, Department of Commerce affiliated to the Lucknow University B.COM. SYLLABUS SEMESTER-WISE PROGRAMME OBJECTIVE The objective of the B.Com. programme is to familiarise students with principles and concepts in the discipline of Commerce. The student will gain indepth knowledge of accounting, finance, business law, marketing, tax and costing. This program aims to provide students with specific knowledge and skills relevant to their career. The programme aims to make students aware of the new and emerging trends in the field of Commerce.

Students are required to undertake micro project work, work shop, seminars, research wok etc. The programme aims to provide the student with skills to conceptualize solutions to business and management problems and to enhance self-confidence and ability to critically evaluate management issues from academic and practical perspectives. It is designed to instill problem-solving attitudes, business ethics in the practice of management and to inculcate entrepreneurial and self-reliance attitudes and habits in students so that they may be active participants in the creation of new wealth.

• To nurture commerce professionals who possess high level of knowledge and competence to effectively contribute to the society with commitment and integrity.
• To enhance employability and to be able to take up challenging job assignments.
• To provide a strong foundation and understanding of the functioning of business organizations, commercial transactions and of various specialized operations such as accounting, finance and marketing by offering a comprehensive curriculum.
• To develop competency in students to pursue higher level programmes such as ICAI, ICWA, CS, MBA or other Master Programmes in Commerce / Management.
• To nurture the students in intellectual, personal, interpersonal and societal skills with a bent on Holistic Education.
